Tutoring

Information for Students

Students are able to meet with tutors individually for one-hour blocks at Rutgers-Camden Learning Center free of charge Monday through Friday.
During semesters, tutors are available 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday in the Learning Center.  Tutors are also available by appointment from 5:00pm-9:00pm Monday through Thursday in the Tower Residence Hall (215 North Third Street).

If you have problems making an appointment online, please visit us at 231 Armitage Hall or call us at (856)-225-6442 and someone will assist you.

Weekly Review Sessions

The RCLC currently hosts weekly review sessions during the Fall and Spring terms.  One of our tutors will work in accord with an instructor teaching a course to develop weekly review sessions and answer student questions during the free periods from Monday-Thursday.

Tutor Training Program

Tutors and Writing Assistants at the Rutgers-Camden Learning Center participate in our tutor training program which is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association.  In February 2015, our training program was re-certified by the CRLA for another 5 years. Tutors who complete the 10-hour training program and log over 25 hours of tutoring sessions receive tutor certification from the CRLA.
