Ajeenah Nuriddin-Little, Ed.D.
Director of Academic Support

Dr. Ajeenah Nuriddin-Little is the Director of Academic Support at Rutgers University—Camden. She joined the Rutgers University—Camden community in October of 2016. Prior to Rutgers University—Camden, Ajeenah served as the Assistant Dean of Student Support Services at Peirce College among other roles during her thirteen years. She was responsible for supporting traditional and nontraditional students while leading student success initiatives such as the Developmental Education program, state and federal grant programs and retention management initiatives. In addition, Ajeenah served on the Middle States Commission on Higher Education Self-Study Steering Committee as well as lead a cross-functional committee responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan initiative under Guidance and Support.
Dr. Nuriddin-Little received her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Rowan University, M.S. in Human Resource Counseling and her B.A. in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

RJ Portella, M.Ed.
Learning Specialist

RJ Portella has over 26 years of experience of both tutoring and academic coaching in the private educational sector.  He joined the Rutgers University—Camden Learning Center in June of 2017.  RJ earned his BFA  from New York University and received his M.Ed. here at Rutgers University—Camden.  He works specifically with students on academic probation through the Raptor Flight Program, and his academic enrichment services are available to all Rutgers University—Camden students.

Amy Smith, M.Ed.
Learning Specialist

Amy has over 10 years of experience working directly with students in both K-12 and higher education settings. Amy also serves as Adjunct Faculty at both Temple University and Rowan University. She joined the Rutgers University-Camden Learning Center in December of 2020. Amy earned both her B.S.Ed. and M.Ed from Temple University. She also works specifically with students on academic probation through the Raptor Flight Program, and all Learning Center academic enrichment services are available to all Rutgers University—Camden students.
