Tutoring at the Rutgers-Camden Learning Center  

Information For Students

Students are able to meet with tutors individually at Rutgers-Camden Learning Center free of charge  Monday through Friday. Tutors who are able to assist students in a variety of courses and subject areas, from Algebra to World Masterpieces and Art History to Zoology, are available to be scheduled for 1 hour blocks of time during our available tutoring hours.  Tutors are available 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday.

Students can also obtain assistance with papers or writing assignments by meeting with a Writing Assistant.  Find out more about our Writing Assistance program by clicking here

Tutor Training Program

Tutors and Writing Assistants at the Rutgers-Camden Learning Center participate in our tutor training program which is certified by the College Reading and Learning Association.  Tutors who complete the 10 hour training program and log over 25 hours of tutoring sessions receive tutor certification from the CRLA.

Weekly Review Sessions

The RCLC currently hosts weekly supplemental instruction review sessions during the Fall and Spring terms.  We held the following sessions during the Spring 2008 term. 
Introduction to Nursing II
:
  Wednesdays from 12:30-2:30 pm in the Nursing Lab on the 4th Floor of Armitage Hall
Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science:  Mondays from 12:15-1:10 pm in Armitage 108

June 2nd will be the first day for tutoring at the RCLC for the Summer 2008 terms.
